Electroencephalography (EEG) is the neurophysiologic measurement of the electrical activity of the brain by recording from electrodes placed on the scalp.
The electrodes used to practice an exam is at specialist discretion:
- Prewired headcaps
- Cup electrodes
- Bridge electrodes with silicone net |

Electromyography (EMG) is a medical technique for evaluating and recording physiologic properties of muscles at rest and while contracting.
To perform an EMG exam ther are two kinds of electrodes:
- Needle Electrodes
- Suface Electrodes

:: Evoked Potentials ::
An evoked potential is an electrical potential recorded from a human following presentation of a stimulus. Electrodes need to be attached to various points of the scalp. The head is measured using a standardized EEG measurement technique to determine the right spots. The most used are the somatosensorial EP, the visual EP and the uditive EP. |
